Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10–12 or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience
- Valid C1 driver’s licence
- Valid Professional Driver Permit (PDP)
- Ability to read and write
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and night shifts
- Good customer care attitude
Applicants must also be willing to undergo Medical Surveillance as part of the job requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Transporting patients, staff, documents, and other items safely
- Maintaining transport records such as logbooks and trip authorities
- Checking vehicle oil, fuel, tyres, and water before trips
- Reporting vehicle defects immediately
- Following transport regulations and Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- Keeping driver’s licence and PDP available at all times
- Ensuring proper handling and safekeeping of government vehicles
- Washing and keeping vehicles clean
- Following instructions from supervisors and management
- Attending meetings and training sessions
- Participating in continuous training and development programmes
- Complying with Performance Management and Development requirements
