Key Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Grade C, your duties will include:

Protection and Security Operations

• Protect employees, visitors, company assets, vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
• Prevent unauthorized access and security breaches.

Access Control and Visitor Management

• Monitor entry and exit points.
• Verify visitor credentials and authorise access where required.
• Manage vehicle and pedestrian movement within the premises.

Patrols and Surveillance

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
• Report suspicious activities and security concerns immediately.

Incident Response and Reporting

• Respond quickly to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents.
• Assist during evacuations and emergency situations.
• Compile accurate incident and occurrence reports.

Policy Compliance

• Enforce company policies and site-specific security procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
• Support fire prevention and emergency preparedness initiatives.

Equipment Management

• Conduct regular inspections of security equipment.
• Report faulty or damaged equipment for repairs.
• Ensure operational readiness at all times.

Customer Service

• Provide professional assistance to staff, clients, contractors, and visitors.
• Maintain a positive and professional image of the company.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must have:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Valid PSIRA Registration Certificate (Minimum Grade C).
• Previous experience in the security industry.
• Knowledge of access control procedures.
• Experience working with CCTV and alarm monitoring systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong observation and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical fitness to perform patrol and security duties.

Added Advantages
