Security Officer Grade C Vacancy

Key Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, your duties may include:

• Conducting regular patrols to maintain safety and security.
• Monitoring the movement of people and vehicles entering and leaving the premises.
• Identifying and addressing unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
• Securing gates, doors, windows, and other access points.
• Monitoring surveillance equipment and reporting unusual incidents.
• Responding to alarms and emergency situations promptly.
• Providing assistance to employees, visitors, and members of the public when required.
• Investigating suspicious behaviour and documenting findings.
• Detaining suspects in accordance with legal procedures until law enforcement arrives.
• Completing occurrence books, incident reports, and other security documentation accurately.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A valid and up-to-date PSiRA Grade C registration.
• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Willingness to undergo interviews, aptitude testing, and background screening.
• The ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure.

Due to staff transport arrangements, preference may be given to applicants residing in the following areas:
